Newton House Remote Area Power Supply.

The preliminary Remote Area Power Supply (RAPS) design for the Newton House includes the following specifications.

1. Flexibility of the initial system to cater for increases in power usage in the future.

2. Assumes the power consumption for the Newton House will be 6kWhrs /day.

As of 1 April 2001, owners of new of recently augmented renewable energy systems have been entitle to a financial gain through Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). Through every megawatt hour of electricity generated, or displaced in the case of Solar Hot Water systems, the owner can benefit through creating a RECs.
